Regular Season Round 15: Le Havre - Caen 90-77

There was a small surprise when fourth ranked STB Le Havre (10-5) beat at home leader Caen (12-3) 90-77 on Saturday. STB Le Havre dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Caen's 26. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was Bahamas forward Jaraun Burrows (203-85, college: PFW) who scored 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Oumarou Sylla (185-92) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Olivier Romain (183-88) who recorded 18 points and 4 assists and Senegalese center Moise Diame (206-86) added 10 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively. Five STB Le Havre and four Caen players scored in double figures. Caen's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. STB Le Havre have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place in Group B, which they share with Lyon CTC. Loser Caen still keeps top position with three games lost. STB Le Havre will meet CFBB (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Caen will play against Avignon/Pontet (#9) and hope to secure a win.
