Very predictable result in Kazan where third ranked CSKA Junior (13-5) beat 9th ranked Unics-2 (7-13) 72-68 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 23-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for guard Daniil Klyuchenkov (199-4) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points. Power forward Daniil Kirilyuk (204-3) helped adding 8 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side guard Sergey Polstyanov (194-2) responded with 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Ilya Karpenko (199-1) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for CSKA Junior. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Unics-2 lost their tenth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 13 games lost. CSKA Junior will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Unics-2 will play again against the league's second-placed CSKA Junior (#2) and hope to secure a win.
