We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 5th ranked LSU-Atletas (11-9) lost to sixth ranked Vilkaviskis (11-9) in Kaunas 92-106. Vilkaviskis players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Mantas Serksnas (200-96, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up and scored 28 points and 5 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) for the winners and Rokas Stankevicius (202-95, agency: BIG) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was point guard Aidas Kavaliauskas (185-95, college: Fairfield) with 17 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 steals and point guard Karolis Babkauskas (185-91, agency: BIG) scored 20 points. Four Vilkaviskis and five LSU-Atletas players scored in double figures. Vilkaviskis moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated LSU-Atletas. Vilkaviskis will play against Vytis (#7) in Sakiai in the next round. LSU-Atletas will play on the road against Palanga and hopes to get back on the winning track.
