There was a small surprise in Muenchen where twelfth ranked Bayern (2-9) won against 10th ranked Coburg (3-8) 81-73 on Saturday. They outrebounded Coburg 40-23 including 16 on the offensive glass. International point guard Joshua Obiesie (198-0) stepped up and scored 31 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Sierra Leonean center Mohamed Sillah (204-2, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. Bayern's coach Mihajlo Mitic used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Nigerian-American forward Princeton Onwas (198-93, college: SJSU) responded with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Sven Lorber (183-97) scored 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Bayern moved-up to eleventh place in South, which they share with AC Wizards. Loser Coburg keeps the tenth position with eight games lost. Bayern will meet league's leader Titans in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Coburg will play against Arvato College Wizards (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
