The game between third ranked Psychiko (7-3) and ninth ranked Amyntas D. (6-5) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Psychiko was defeated by Amyntas D. in Athens 75-85. Amyntas D. looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Forward Andreas Kanonidis (200-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 4 assists. Athanasios Grekas (196-96) contributed with 10 points and 5 assists for the winners. Amyntas D.'s coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Christos Iordanou (196-98) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and guard Michalis Polytarchou (190-83) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Psychiko. Four Psychiko players scored in double figures. Amyntas D. moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Marousi. Psychiko at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. They share it with Tritonas S.. Amyntas D. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Psychiko will play at home against Koroivos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
