Not a big story in a game in Athens where 5th ranked Koroivos (7-5) was defeated by third ranked Psychiko (8-3) 81-70 on Wednesday. The best player for the winners was guard Michalis Polytarchou (190-83) who scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Fotis Malelis (207-97, college: St.Thomas, FL) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Five Psychiko players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Venos Mastoros (183-98) who recorded 13 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian guard Stefan Mitrovic (195-96) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively. Koroivos' coach Konstantinos Delegkos rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Psychiko maintains third position with 8-3 record having just three point less than leader Karditsas, which they share with Tritonas S. Newly promoted Koroivos keeps the fifth place with five games lost. They share the position with Marousi. Psychiko will meet league's leader Karditsas on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Koroivos will play against Amyntas D. (#8) and hope to secure a win.
