Regular Season Round 13: Caceres - Castello 77-68

There was a minor upset when higher ranked Castello (7-6) lost on the road to tenth ranked Caceres (7-6) 77-68 on Wednesday. Caceres shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Devin Schmidt (193-94, college: Delta St., agency: Duran International) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 rebounds. Croatian-American forward Duje Dukan (208-91, college: Wisconsin) contributed with 21 points for the winners. American forward Eric Stutz (205-92, college: EKU) answered with 23 points and 8 rebounds and Dutch forward Kai Edwards (206-97, college: N.Colorado) added 15 points and 13 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for Castello. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Caceres have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with defeated Castello. Caceres is looking forward to face Almansa (#11) on the road in the next round. Castello will play against Valladolid (#12) and is hoping to win this game.
