Very expected game when 10th ranked Hertzeliya (2-8) was edged at home by sixth ranked Ramla (5-5) 74-71 on Sunday. Ramla made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. Ramla outrebounded Hertzeliya 43-32 including 32 on the defensive glass. American forward Emma Cannon (190-89, college: FSC) notched a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds (made all of her eight free throws) to lead the effort and naturalized American Alyssa Baron (178-92, college: Pennsylvania) supported her with 19 points. Four Ramla players scored in double figures. Even 22 points and 6 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) by American guard Leah Purvis (168-97, college: Miami, OH) did not help to save the game for Hertzeliya. Her fellow American import guard Brittany Brown (173-95, college: FSU) added 12 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals for lost side. Ramla moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Ramat G.
