Superleague top team - Prometey (22-0) had no problems winning another game on Tuesday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Dnipro (12-10) 104-85. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Prometey shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward DJ Kennedy (198-89, college: St.John's) who scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. International point guard Illya Sidorov (184-96, agency: BIG) chipped in 12 points and 9 assists. Five Prometey players scored in double figures. International guard Issuf Sanon (193-99, agency: BeoBasket) produced 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and American point guard DJ Cooper (183-90, college: Ohio) added 15 points, 13 assists and 6 steals respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the twenty second consecutive win for Prometey. Defending champion maintains first place with 22-0 record. Loser Dnipro keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. They share it with Khimik. Prometey will meet at home bottom-ranked Mykolaiv (#12) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Dnipro will play against the league's second-placed Budivelnyk (#2) and hope to secure a win.
