No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked USK Praha (12-7) beat on the road 9th ranked NH Ostrava (7-12) 79-75 on Wednesday. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Nate West (178-98, college: LeTourneau) who led the winners and scored 31 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Guard Marek Vyroubal (196-1) accounted for 14 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. West is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Filip Smid (196-92) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and American forward Issac Vann (198-95, college: VCU) added 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for NH Ostrava in the defeat. Four NH Ostrava players scored in double figures. NH Ostrava's coach Peter Balint rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. USK Praha moved-up to third place, which they share with Brno. NH Ostrava lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Decin. USK Praha will meet at home Pardubice (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. NH Ostrava will play against GBA Fio banka in J.Hradec and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
