Regular Season Round 15: Pinar Karsiyaka - Darussafaka 79-82

The most exciting game of round 15 in the BSL took place in Karsiyaka. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 4th placed Pinar Karsiyaka (9-5) to third ranked Dacka (11-4) 82-79 on Saturday evening. Dacka dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Pinar Karsiyaka's 28. It was a great evening for American point guard Troy Caupain (193-95, college: Cincinnati) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 7 assists. British center Gabriel Olaseni (211-91, college: Iowa) helped adding 18 points and 11 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American Bonzie Colson Jr (198-96, college: Notre Dame) with 23 points and 6 rebounds and Senegalese-French Amath MBaye (205-89, college: Oklahoma) scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Dacka have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 11-4 record having just one point less than leader Fenerbahce. Pinar Karsiyaka at the other side dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. Dacka's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Istanbul to the arena Fenerbahce.
