Top ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (9-3) recorded its third loss at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by second ranked Maccabi Tel-Aviv (8-5) 83-78. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Hapoel Jerusalem. American forward Derrick Williams (203-91, college: Arizona) fired 17 points for the winners. The former international forward Oz Blayzer (199-92) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Jalen Adams (191-95, college: UConn) produced 26 points and 5 assists and Nigerian Suleiman Braimoh (203-89, college: Rice) added 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Despite that victory Maccabi Tel-Aviv went down to third position due to points difference, which they share with H.Holon and H.Galil Elion. Hapoel Jerusalem at the other side still keeps top place with three games lost. Maccabi Tel-Aviv is looking forward to face Ironi Nes-Ziona (#6) in Nes Ziyona in the next round. Hapoel Jerusalem will play on the road against Galil Gilboa (#11) in Rosh Pina and is hoping to win this game.
