No shocking result in a game in Rosh Pina where eighth ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (6-6) defeated 11th ranked Galil Gilboa (4-8) 87-73 on Sunday. Hapoel Tel-Aviv made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. American swingman James Young (198-95, college: Kentucky) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import guard JCovan Brown (188-90, college: Texas) chipped in 18 points and 5 assists. At the losing side American guard London Perrantes (187-94, college: Virginia) responded with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists and British-American power forward Sacha Killeya-Jones (212-98, college: NC State) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Four Galil Gilboa players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hapoel Tel-Aviv have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with I.Nes-Ziona. Galil Gilboa lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with eight games lost. They share it with H.Beer Sheva. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will meet higher ranked Hapoel Holon (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Galil Gilboa will play against the league's leader Hapoel Jerusalem (#1) and hope to secure a win.
