There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked M.Ma'ale Adum. (4-9) beat on the road higher ranked E.Ashkelon (7-6) 105-99 on Tuesday. M.Ma'ale Adum. dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to E.Ashkelon's 40. American players dominated the game. Forward Jalen Canty (203-95, college: UCSB, agency: Haylett Sports) notched a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Keith Braxton (196-97, college: SFU) supported him with 17 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals. Even a double-double of 20 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists by Storm Warren (211-88, college: LSU) did not help to save the game for E.Ashkelon. JR Holder (198-94, college: Jacksonville) added 30 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. Five M.Ma'ale Adum. and four E.Ashkelon players scored in double figures. E.Ashkelon's coach Amit Tamir rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. M.Ma'ale Adum. moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with M.Raanana. Loser E.Ashkelon keeps the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with H.Afula. M.Ma'ale Adum. will meet at home higher ranked M.Haifa (#9) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. E.Ashkelon will play against Ramat Hash. and will have a slim chance for a victory.
