Regular Season Round 15: Milano - Virtus BO 102-99

The most exciting game of round 15 in the Serie A took place in Milano. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of second-best Virtus BO (11-3) to first ranked Milano (13-1) 102-99 in the game for the first place. Milano forced 19 Virtus BO turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a good game for American guard Jerian Grant (196-92, college: Notre Dame) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 6 assists. Spanish guard Sergio Rodriguez (191-86) contributed with 16 points and 9 assists for the winners. The former international Marco Belinelli (196-86) answered with 34 points (!!!) and Serbian point guard Milos Teodosic (195-87) added 18 points and 10 assists in the effort for Virtus BO. Five Milano and four Virtus BO players scored in double figures. Milano maintains first place with 13-1 record. Defending champion Virtus BO keeps the second position with three games lost. Milano will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Virtus BO will play at home against Trento and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
