Regular Season Round 15: Sindri - Hamar 118-67

The game between fourth ranked Sindri (9-6) and 9th ranked Hamar (2-11) in on Friday ended with biggest points difference. Sindri outscored guests from Hamar 118-67. The game without a history. Sindri led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Hamar's 28. They outrebounded Hamar 50-32 including a 39-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Sindri looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Hamar's players. It was a quality performance for American point guard Detrek Browning (183, college: FMU, agency: Interperformances) who led the winners and scored 36 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Irish power forward Jordan Blount (203-97, college: UIC, agency: One Motive Sports) accounted for 15 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side. Four Sindri players scored in double figures. Sindri's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players saving starting five for next games. American guard Dee Franklin (196-92, college: FVSU) came up with 25 points and 9 rebounds and guard Sigurdur Hjaltason (178-2) added 22 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Hamar in the defeat. Sindri maintains fourth place with 9-6 record. Hamar lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 11 games lost. Sindri will meet league's second-placed Hottur in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hamar will play against Fjolnir (#5) and hope to secure a win.
