Regular Season Round 15: Litomerice - Chomutov 68-79

There was a minor upset when second-best Litomerice (12-3) lost at home to fourth ranked Levharti Chomutov (8-6) 79-68 on Friday. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Jan Jiricek (203-90) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Lubos Stria (197-81) accounted for 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Swingman Jan Karlovsky (201-99) came up with 15 points and 5 rebounds and Adam Zampach (198-90) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Litomerice in the defeat. Litomerice's coach Rudolf Sotnar tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Levharti Chomutov maintains fourth place with 8-6 record. Loser Litomerice keeps the second position with three games lost. Levharti Chomutov will meet at home higher ranked Sokol Pisek (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Litomerice will play against USK Praha B and hope to secure a win.
