Regular Season Round 13: Moron - Marbella 78-60

Everything went according to plan in Morón de la Frontera where sixth ranked Moron (8-5) beat 14th ranked Marbella (3-10) 78-60 on Saturday. Moron dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Marbella's 32. They outrebounded Marbella 41-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. Portuguese guard Diogo De Sousa (198-97, college: Utah St.) fired 20 points for the winners. Cameroonian center Bertrand Awana (206-97, college: Lenoir-Rhyne) chipped in 7 points and 14 rebounds. Four Moron players scored in double figures. Bosnian forward Lazar Mutic (203-99) produced 16 points and power forward Devin Wright (201-86) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Moron moved-up to fourth place in Silver. Loser Marbella keeps the fourteenth position with ten games lost. Moron will meet at home league's second-placed Cantabria in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Marbella will play against Navarra (#12) in Pamplona and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
