Regular Season Round 15: Saarlouis - Bensheim 94-86

Very predictable result when second ranked Saarlouis (9-3) beat at home 14th ranked Bensheim (2-10) 94-86 on Saturday. It was a great evening for American guard TJ Lang (201-95, college: S.Florida) who led his team to a victory scoring 31 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Ricky Easterling (189-83, college: Bridgewater) helped adding 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Lang is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was American guard Philip Jenkins (188-90, college: Life) with 27 points and 9 rebounds and Eric Curth (193-92) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Saarlouis maintains second place in South West with 9-3 record having four points less than leader Stuttgart. Bensheim lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth position with ten games lost. Saarlouis will meet at home Limburg (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bensheim will play against Mannheim (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
