Regular Season Round 18: Starogard Gd. - Krosno 72-76

There was a minor upset in Starogard Gdanski where higher ranked Kociewskie Diably (8-9) was defeated by eleventh ranked Krosno (8-9) 76-72 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for Krosno especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. The best player for the winners was naturalized German forward Julian Jasinski (201-96) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Roman Janik (184-95) chipped in 19 points. Janik is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Filip Stryjewski (193-99) who recorded 14 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and swingman Szymon Ryzek (190-97) added 21 points respectively. Kociewskie Diably's coach let to play ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Krosno moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Starogard Gd. and WKK Wroclaw. Krosno will meet Znicz (#16) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kociewskie Diably will play against Lublin 2 (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
