Regular Season Round 15: Fos-Provence - Bourg 56-63

There was no surprise in Fos-sur-Mer where 14th ranked Provence Basket (5-10) was defeated by eleventh ranked JL Bourg (7-8) 63-56 on Saturday. JL Bourg forced 23 Provence Basket turnovers. Strangely Provence Basket outrebounded JL Bourg 37-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for power forward Pierre Pelos (205-92) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points and 7 rebounds. Nigerian-American guard Rasheed Sulaimon (193-94, college: Maryland) helped adding 15 points and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was American-Liberian Lasan Kromah (198-91, college: UConn) with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and American point guard Jamar Diggs (190-88, college: Wofford) scored 16 points. JL Bourg moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Roanne. Provence Basket lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Chalons-Reims and Paris. JL Bourg will meet at home Chalons-Reims (#14) in the next round. Provence Basket will play against Chorale de Roanne and hope to secure a win.
