Regular Season Round 15: Mannheim - Fellbach 82-86

There was no surprise when 13th ranked Mannheim (3-9) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Fellbach (7-6) 86-82 on Sunday. Fellbach dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Mannheim's 32 and made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for guard Lars Berger (194-96) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points. Power forward Daniel Eisenhardt (200-96) helped adding 14 points and 5 rebounds. Five Fellbach players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Jeremy Ingram (183-91, college: AAMU) with 32 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and Polish Slawomir Klocek (192-84) scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. Fellbach have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place in South West. Mannheim lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with nine games lost. Fellbach will meet higher ranked Tuebingen 2 (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mannheim will play against Bensheim (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
