There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Toulouse (9-8) was edged at home by ninth ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (9-8) 76-75 on Tuesday. Center Jonathan Jeanne (218-97, agency: Slash Sports) nailed 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and Serbian-Montenegrin power forward Luka Nikolic (209-94) accounted for 11 points and 9 rebounds. Four Lourdes-Tarbes players scored in double figures. Lourdes-Tarbes' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Naturalized Algerian point guard Faycal Sahraoui (190-79) came up with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and point guard Victor Mopsus (179-99) added 8 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for Toulouse in the defeat. Lourdes-Tarbes moved-up to sixth place in Group A, which they share with Toulouse and Cergy-Pontoise. Lourdes-Tarbes will meet at home league's leader Etoile Angers in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Toulouse will play against Vendee Challans (#12) and hope to secure a win.
