Very expected game when 13th ranked Delikatesas (5-19) was crushed on the road by sixth ranked Vilkaviskis (13-12) 104-76 on Thursday. Vilkaviskis outrebounded Delikatesas 55-34 including a 38-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Delikatesas' players. Augustinas Venckus (190-97) fired 21 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Center Ernestas Narusevicius (207-1) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Vilkaviskis' coach Karolis Abramavicius felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American Darion Rackley (187-92, college: JSU) produced 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import Donnell Cegers (197-93, college: NMU) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Vilkaviskis and four Delikatesas players scored in double figures. Vilkaviskis maintains sixth place with 13-12 record, which they share with Vytis. Delikatesas lost their ninth game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with 19 games lost. They share it with Neptunas-Akv.. Vilkaviskis will meet Vilnius (#12) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Delikatesas will play against Silute and hope to secure a win.
