Regular Season Round 24: K.Sokoly - Cherkasy 90-75

Very expected game in Kharkiv where 11th ranked Cherkasy (5-18) was defeated by fourth ranked K.Sokoly (15-8) 90-75 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 90-75. K.Sokoly shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 58.3 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian power forward Aleksandar Zecevic (207-96, college: FAU) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and 6 rebounds and American point guard Dajuan Graf (185-92, college: NCCU) who added 22 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. The best for the losing side was Serbian center Djoko Salic (210-95) with 20 points and 5 rebounds and the former international swingman Ivan Tkachenko (199-97) scored 15 points. Four Cherkasy players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. K.Sokoly maintains fourth position with 15-8 record. Loser Cherkasy keeps the eleventh place with 18 games lost. K.Sokoly will meet at home league's second-placed Budivelnyk in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Cherkasy will play against Dnipro (#5) and hope to secure a win.
