Regular Season Round 12: Larissa BC - Aris 84-81

Bottom-ranked Larissa BC managed to get the second consecutive victory. This time they edged seventh-ranked Aris 84-81. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Aris won fourth quarter 25-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Aris was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Gambian Ousman Krubally (201-88, college: Georgia St.) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and American guard Devonte Green (190-97, college: Indiana) who added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American point guard Anthony Cowan Jr (183-97, college: Maryland) with 24 points and 9 assists and his fellow American import forward James Kelly (202-93, college: Marshall) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds. Five Larissa BC and four Aris players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Larissa BC (3-7) moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Ionikos. Aris at the other side dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with PAOK. Larissa BC will play against Ionikos (#11) in Aigaleo in the next round. Aris will play at home against Apollon P. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
