The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Seawolves (15-4) in Rostock on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by ninth ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (10-9) 112-98. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Seawolves. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven well out of reach of Seawolves shooting 70.2 percent from the field and made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 76.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Kevin Yebo (207-96) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Armani Moore (193-94, college: Tennessee) who added 23 points during the contest. American swingman Nijal Pearson (196-97, college: Texas St.) responded with 23 points and 7 assists and his fellow American import guard Jordan Roland (185-97, college: Northeastern) scored 18 points. Five Eisbaeren Bremerhaven and four Seawolves players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven maintains ninth position with 10-9 record, which they share with Hagen. Seawolves at the other side still keep top place with four games lost. They share the position with Jena. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven is looking forward to face higher ranked Kirchheim Knights (#7) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Seawolves will play against Tigers (#3) in Tuebingen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
