There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Brindisi (7-7) was crushed on the road by ninth ranked Brescia (7-7) 88-67 on Sunday. Brescia made 17-of-18 free shots (94.4 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Brindisi turnovers. Greek-Canadian guard Nazareth Mitrou-Long (193-93, college: Iowa St.) fired 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Kenny Gabriel (205-89, college: Auburn) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds. Five Brescia players scored in double figures. Brescia's coach Alessandro Magro felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American Nathan Adrian (206-95, college: WVU) produced 8 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Josh Perkins (191-95, college: Gonzaga) added 8 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Brescia have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Brindisi and Napoli. Brescia will meet at home Sassari (#10) in the next round.
