Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Rostock (0-8) was outscored by sixth ranked Phoenix Juniors (4-5) in Hagen 88-54 on Sunday. Phoenix Juniors forced 31 Rostock turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Rostock's players. It was an exceptional evening for Finn-Luca Philipp (185-4) who led the winners and scored 14 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Luka Zajic (195-4) accounted for 16 points for the winning side. Four Phoenix Juniors players scored in double figures. Phoenix Juniors' coach Johannes Huelsmann felt very confident that he used entire bench saving starting five for next games. Center Helias Leesch (205-3) came up with 18 points and Tim Hannemann (182-4) added 16 points respectively for Rostock in the defeat. Phoenix Juniors moved-up to fifth place in North, which they share with Berlin Braves. Rostock lost their eighth game in a row. They still close the standings with eight games lost. Phoenix Juniors will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Rostock will play against Berlin Braves (#6) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
