Regular Season Round 13: Koroivos - Dafnis BC 73-58

Rather expected game when 8th ranked Amyntas D. (6-6) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Koroivos (8-5) 73-58 on Saturday. Serbian guard Stefan Mitrovic (195-96) stepped up and scored 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and Ioannis Michaloutsos (199-97, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. Five Koroivos players scored in double figures. At the losing side power forward Panagiotis Vyrlas (208-99) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds and swingman Joe Gatzo (199-98) scored 11 points and 4 assists. Amyntas D.'s coach rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Newly promoted Koroivos maintains fifth place with 8-5 record. Loser Amyntas D. dropped to the tenth position with six games lost. Koroivos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Amyntas D. will play against the league's leader Karditsas (#1) and hope to secure a win.
