The most exciting game of round 18 in the BBL took place in Berlin. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 7th ranked ALBA Berlin (10-5) to sixth ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (12-6) 76-75 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of ALBA Berlin. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was swingman Tremmell Darden (196-81, college: Niagara) who scored 22 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Guard Jonah Radebaugh (190-97, college: N.Colorado) chipped in 10 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Luke Sikma (202-89, college: Portland) who recorded 9 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Jaleen Smith (193-94, college: UNH) added 12 points respectively. Four ALBA Berlin players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. EnBW Ludwigsburg have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Defending champion ALBA Berlin keeps the seventh position with five games lost. EnBW Ludwigsburg are looking forward to face MBC (#14) in Weissenfels in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ALBA Berlin will play on the road against s Oliver Baskets (#17) in Wuerzburg and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
