Second Stage Round 3: Young Angels - MBK Ruzomb. 55-87

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Young Angels (2-1) in Kosice on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by MBK (2-1) 87-55. MBK dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Young Angels' 32. MBK forced 24 Young Angels turnovers. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward Marte Grays (188-96, college: DePaul) who scored 17 points and 4 steals. Guard Adrienne Motley (175-95, college: Miami, FL) chipped in 14 points. Four MBK players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Valerie Higgins (185-98, college: Pacific, agency: LBM Management) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and center Channon Fluker (193-97, college: CSUN) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Young Angels' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. MBK is looking forward to face SKP 08 BB (#4) in Banska Bystrica in the next round. Young Angels will play at home against Piestanske C. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
