Fifteenth-ranked Andorra (5-12) used its home court advantage to challenge third ranked Manresa (12-5) on Saturday. The visitors from Manresa managed to secure only three-point victory 82-79. However their fans expected much easier game. Manresa made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for French point guard Sylvain Francisco (185-97) who led the winners and scored 27 points and 4 assists. Belgian center Ismael Bako (208-95) accounted for 10 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side. American Drew Crawford (196-90, college: Northwestern, agency: Octagon Europe) came up with 22 points and 6 rebounds and American-Senegalese guard Clevin Hannah (179-87, college: Wichita St., agency: BeoBasket) added 16 points respectively for Andorra in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Manresa have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain third place with 12-5 record having just three points less than leader Real Madrid. Andorra lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixteenth position with 12 games lost. Manresa will meet at home Burgos (#17) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Andorra will play against the league's leader Real Madrid and hope to secure a win.
