Regular Season Round 21: Bremerhaven - Kirchheim 109-90

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (11-9) smashed at home 7th ranked Kirchheim Knights (11-9) 109-90. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Strangely Kirchheim Knights outrebounded Eisbaeren Bremerhaven 38-23 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for American guard Carrington Love (185-94, college: Green Bay) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 14 assists and 5 steals. Kevin Yebo (207-96) contributed with 23 points for the winners. American forward Jonathon Williams (198-90, college: Wagner, agency: Players Group) answered with 21 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Rohndell Goodwin (195-91, college: Chaminade, agency: Players Group) added 19 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Kirchheim Knights. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kirchheim Knights' coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Kirchheim and Karlsruhe PS. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kirchheim Knights will play on the road against Leverkusen (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
