Regular Season Round 17: Dorsten - ETB Miners 84-81

There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Dorsten (4-13) edged at home higher ranked ETB Miners (8-9) 84-81 on Saturday. American guard Tyler Brevard (189-98, college: Lander) stepped up and scored 33 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Canadian-Polish forward Konrad Tota (196-80, college: Dickinson St.) chipped in 9 points and 6 rebounds. Brevard is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Dorsten's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Tylik Evans responded with 16 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 7 steals and forward Sadiq Ajagbe (198-99) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Five ETB Miners players scored in double figures. Dorsten maintains thirteenth place in West with 4-13 record. Newly promoted ETB Miners dropped to the tenth position with nine games lost. Dorsten will meet higher ranked Deutzer (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. ETB Miners will play against Hagen BG (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
