There was no surprise in Santiago de Compostela where 13th ranked De La Torre (2-14) was defeated by eleventh ranked Rosalia (5-9) 68-54 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Canadian forward Catherine Traer (185, college: Carleton) who scored 19 points. Paula Rivas (-0) chipped in 4 points and 13 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Paula Moreno (-0) who recorded 8 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Ester Sintes (-92) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively. De La Torre's coach rotated eleven players and allowed the starting five to rest. Rosalia maintains eleventh place in Group A with 5-9 record. Newly promoted De La Torre dropped to the fourteenth position with 14 games lost. Rosalia will meet league's second-placed Adareva in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. De La Torre will play against Cortegada (#10) and hope to secure a win.
