Regular Season Round 19: ZTE KK - Atomeromu 88-87

Bottom-ranked ZTE KK managed to get a fifth victory. This time they edged twelfth-ranked Atomeromu in Zalaegerszeg 88-87. ZTE KK shot 61.1 percent from the field. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Jordan Barnett (201-95, college: Missouri) who led the winners and scored 25 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Quenton DeCosey (195-93, college: Temple) accounted for 25 points (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winning side. The former international power forward Janos Eilingsfeld (198-91) came up with 17 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Ken Brown (180-89, college: Philander Smith, agency: BIG) added 17 points and 4 assists respectively for Atomeromu in the defeat. Four Atomeromu players scored in double figures. Atomeromu's coach Petar Mijovic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. ZTE KK maintains fourteenth place with 5-14 record. Atomeromu at the other side dropped to the thirteenth position with 13 games lost. ZTE KK will play against league's leader Szombathely on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Atomeromu will play against OSE Lions (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
