Very important is a road loss of third ranked Rieti Real (10-4) against fourth ranked Rimini (11-3) on Sunday night. Visiting Rieti Real was defeated by Rimini in a tough game in Rimini 73-79. Rimini outrebounded Rieti Real 41-28 including 31 on the defensive glass. Rieti Real was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by point guard Andrea Tassinari (187-96, agency: SLN) who scored that evening 32 points and the former international power forward Tommaso Rinaldi (203-85, agency: Interperformances) supported him with 11 points and 5 rebounds. Even 19 points by swingman Federico Loschi (196-90) did not help to save the game for Rieti Real. Guard Marco Contento (191-91) added 15 points and 4 assists for lost side. Four Rieti Real players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rimini moved-up to third place in B. Rieti Real at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. Rimini will play against Faenza (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rieti Real will play against Cesena (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
