Regular Season Round 12: Rostock - Berlin Braves 74-78

Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Berlin Braves (6-5) beat on the road bottom-ranked Rostock (0-9) 78-74 on Sunday. Berlin Braves dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Rostock's 32. They outrebounded Rostock 51-25 including a 31-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was point guard Linus Briesemeister (190-3) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists. Bela Kohoff (202-4) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was R Krupnikas who recorded 24 points and center Helias Leesch (205-3) added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Berlin Braves have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place in North, which they share with Leverkusen. Loser Rostock still closes the standings with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
