Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Molfetta (6-10) was defeated on the road by first ranked Agrigento (14-2) 91-83 on Sunday. Agrigento made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Point guard Alessandro Grande (185-94) fired 38 points (!!!) for the winners. Naturalized Argentinian forward Albano Chiarastella (195-85, agency: BIG) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Swingman Maurizio Tassone (193-90, agency: SLN) produced 21 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and center Francesco Infante (204-92) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Molfetta players scored in double figures. Agrigento maintains first position in B with 14-2 record. Loser Molfetta keeps the twelfth place with ten games lost. Agrigento will meet Formia (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Molfetta will play against Forio (#9) and hope to secure a win.
