Rather expected game when Dresden was rolled over on the road by Goettingen 82-63 on Sunday. Goettingen made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 24 Dresden turnovers and outrebounded them 43-20 including a 26-1 advantage in defensive rebounds. Christopher Schultz (194-3) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 17 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals for the winners and Joris Herbst (193-3) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists. At the losing side center Kurt Donath (198-5) responded with 16 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and Soren Nagora (187-5) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Four Dresden players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Goettingen will meet Heroes in the next round. Dresden will play against Braunschweig and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
