Regular Season Round 19: M.Haifa - E.Ashkelon 88-80

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked E.Ashkelon's (7-9) road loss to eighth ranked M.Haifa (9-7) 80-88 on Tuesday. It was a great evening for American point guard Kwame Vaughn (190-90, college: CS Fullerton) who led his team to a victory scoring 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international power forward Daniel Koperberg (208-97) helped adding 20 points. At the losing side American Storm Warren (211-88, college: LSU) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds and the other American import JR Holder (198-94, college: Jacksonville) scored 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. M.Haifa have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with H.Afula. E.Ashkelon lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with nine games lost. M.Haifa will meet M.Ashdod (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. E.Ashkelon will play against the league's second-placed Hapoel H/M (#2) and hope to secure a win.
