Regular Season Round 23: Besancon - Mulhouse 85-95

Very predictable result when fourth ranked Mulhouse (15-7) won against on the road 10th ranked Besancon (8-14) 95-85 on Friday. Mulhouse made 36-of-45 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game, while Besancon only scored ten points from the stripe. Mulhouse looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Central African power forward Johan Grebongo (203-94) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Spanish center Victor Serrano (210-89) accounted for 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Four Mulhouse players scored in double figures. Guard Tom Foucault (191-94) came up with 29 points and 7 rebounds and the former international center Ferdinand Prenom (204-91) added 8 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Besancon in the defeat. Besancon's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Mulhouse moved-up to third place in Group B, which they share with Le Havre and Lyon CTC. Besancon at the other side keeps the tenth position with 14 games lost. Mulhouse will meet at home GET Vosges (#14) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Besancon will play against SOPCC (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
