No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Obradoiro S. (13-6) beat 8th ranked La Flecha (8-11) in Arroyo Encomienda 89-78 on Saturday. Obradoiro S. forced 20 La Flecha turnovers and outrebounded them 42-31 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Sergi Huguet (194-2) who led the winners and scored 22 points. Forward Guillermo Gonzalez (196-2) accounted for 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Guard Millan Lopez (185-94) came up with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and guard Eduardo Castano (186-0) added 13 points and 6 assists respectively for La Flecha in the defeat. Four La Flecha players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Obradoiro S. maintains fourth place in Group A-B with 13-6 record. Loser La Flecha keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Avila and Betanzos. Obradoiro S. will meet at home Chantada (#6) in the next round. La Flecha will play against Oviedo 2 and hope to secure a win.
