Regular Season Round 23: Vitre - Toulouse 65-57

The game between closely ranked teams ended with seventh ranked Vitre's (11-10) home victory over 8th ranked Toulouse (10-12) 65-57 on Saturday. Vitre forced 19 Toulouse turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Thibault Alexis (194-95) who led the winners and scored 16 points. Forward Vincent Fandelet (199-92) accounted for 15 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Lucas Kouyate (199-99) came up with 20 points and American power forward Ron Anderson Jr (203-89, college: S.Florida) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Toulouse in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vitre moved-up to fifth place in Group A. Toulouse lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Dax-Gamarde. Vitre will meet JSA Bordeaux (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Toulouse will play against the league's leader Etoile Angers (#1) and hope to secure a win.
