Regular Season Round 19: Brindisi - Reggio Emilia 89-75

There was a minor upset when 7th ranked Reggio Emilia (8-9) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Brindisi (9-9) 89-75 on Sunday. American Nathan Adrian (206-95, college: WVU) fired 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. The former international power forward Raphael Gaspardo (207-93, agency: Players Group) chipped in 14 points. American forward Mikael Hopkins (206-93, college: Georgetown) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import guard Bryant Crawford (191-97, college: Wake Forest) added 20 points respectively for lost side. Four Reggio Emilia players scored in double figures. Brindisi moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Trento and Tortona. Loser Reggio Emilia dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Brindisi will meet bottom-ranked Fortitudo BO (#16) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Reggio Emilia will play against Treviso (#11) and hope to secure a win.
