Very expected game when 8th ranked Hertzeliya (4-11) lost to third ranked Rishon LZ (11-4) in Rishon Le-Zion 75-81 on Monday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Rishon LZ looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Jennie Simms (183-94, college: ODU) notched a double-double by scoring 30 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) to lead the effort and international forward Eden Zipel (183-2) supported her with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Rishon LZ players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 28 points and 12 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) by American forward Kristen Simon (188-95, college: USC) did not help to save the game for Hertzeliya. Her fellow American import guard Brittany Brown (173-95, college: FSU) added 25 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals. Rishon LZ maintains third position with 11-4 record having 2 victories less than leader M.Haifa. Loser Hertzeliya keeps the eighth place with 11 games lost.
