Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Neptunas (8-11) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Prienai CBet (1-19) 73-63 on Monday. They outrebounded Prienai CBet 44-24 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was swingman Matas Jogela (201-98) who scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Julius Jucikas (205-89, agency: BIG) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Rapolas Ivanauskas (208-98, college: Cincinnati) who recorded 14 points and 6 rebounds and Montenegrin swingman Jovan Kljajic (198-1) added 9 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Neptunas maintains eighth place with 8-11 record. Prienai CBet lost their eighth game in a row. They stay dead last with 19 lost games. Neptunas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Prienai CBet will play against P.Zvaigzdes (#10) in Pasvalys and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
