The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Caen (18-6) on the court of fifth ranked Lyon CTC on Tuesday night. Visitors were edged by Lyon CTC 81-78. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Caen. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in Group B. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Kevin Kokila (204-1) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American-Icelandic forward Michael Craion (197-89, college: ORU, agency: Inception Sports) who added 16 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was swingman Florian Thibedore (193-90) with 18 points and Bryson Pope (199-90, college: Kent St.) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Lyon CTC (16-7) moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with Le Havre and Mulhouse. Caen at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost. Lyon CTC is looking forward to face Orchesien BC (#7) in Orchies in the next round where they are favorite. Caen will play at home against CFBB (#12) and is hoping to win this game.
