Regular Season Round 24: Toulouse - Angers 74-80

Very predictable result when first ranked Etoile Angers (20-4) defeated on the road 9th ranked Toulouse (10-13) 80-74 on Tuesday. They outrebounded Toulouse 51-28 including a 22-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Moroccan forward Karim Gourari (203-89) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Guyanese forward Youri Morose (202-97) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Adrien Thimon (188-94) who recorded 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and American power forward Ron Anderson Jr (203-89, college: S.Florida) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively. Four Toulouse players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Etoile Angers have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A with 20-4 record. Toulouse lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Dax-Gamarde. Etoile Angers will meet at home Vendee Challans (#12) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Toulouse will play against Les Sables in Les Sables-D'Ollone and hope to secure a win.
